GIVING BACK TO THE GAME THAT HAS TAUGHT ME SO MUCH

I was only four years old when my grandma thought thAt learning bridge would be the perfect choice for a kid who saw the world through numbers and probabilities
I loved learning bridge. The game opened many doors for me. Many tournaments and years of play later have made me one of the top-ranked youth bridge players in the United States. I started Bridge Connection to give back to the game that has played such an important role in my life. I developed lesson plans and interactive quizzes to teach bridge. Today, Bridge Connection is in place at senior citizen centers across the state.

PROMOTING ALL ASPECTS OF THE GAME OF BRIDGE

When I started playing bridge as a kid, hardly anyone my age played. Most of my time playing was at senior citizen community centers. As more youth started learning about the game, I found others my age who shared the love of bridge. Many tournaments later, I founded Bridge Connection to teach and promote bridge.
ALL ABOUT BRIDGE
  • Bridge is the king of all card games. . . . Bridge helps you think. It's a game you can play your entire life and keep getting better and better. [Bridge is] deliciously simple in the rules but deliciously complex in doing well
    bILL GATES
  • It's a game of a million inferences. There are a lot of things to draw inferences from — cards played and not played. These inferences tell you something about the probabilities. It's got to be the best intellectual exercise out there. You're seeing through new situations every ten minutes. Bridge is about weighing gain/loss ratios. You're doing calculations all the time.
    WARREN BUFFETT
  • You can always judge a man's character by the way he plays cards. Eisenhower is a calm and collected player and never whines at his losses. He is brilliant in victory but never commits the bridge player's worst crime of gloating when he wins.

2. test

What good is learning if you do not retain or master what is being taught? Learning any new skill can be challenging. We developed our own interactive quizzes and exercises to let you test how well you have understood and are able to apply the concepts taught in our lessons. Take the quizzes after you progress through our bridge lessons to see how well you do.

3. WritE

Bridge is about community. It takes four people to sit at a bridge table and play. It takes two people to be bridge partners. And it takes a whole community to learn from one another. We are always excited to hear from, and share with, others who also enjoy the game of bridge. Contact us with your questions or to share your experiences.
